Growing up Nutter Butter's were one of my favorite treats to have on special occasions. You're probably familiar with the tasty peanut butter snack but you probably haven't been keeping up with their Tik Tok. And let me tell you if one of these videos came across your feed you would have no idea it was Nutter Butter posting it.
I first heard about their marketing on Tik Tok through a separate Tik Tok video where someone pointed out just how bizarre the videos were. They post some weird hypnotic, creepy types of videos. I don't know how particularly well this works to get people to eat their snacks but it has certainly caught the attention of a lot of people.
These videos have many people genuinely just confused to what their actual goal is. To their credit, they do get a lot of interaction on the site with most videos getting over 100,000 views and plenty of thousands of likes. But most of the comments aren't about their actual product, just how weird the videos are which leads me to question if this is actually smart marketing for the brand or if they just want to be internet famous.
Overall the online consensus is that Nutter Butter is still a very tasty treat, but their Tik Tok page doesn't help show that at all. You can find comments of people talking about how they enjoy the treats but most comments you'll see are people being creeped out by the videos and possibly wanting nothing to do with the brand in general.
